We are pleased to have the opportunity to provide the portraits for your Senior year. 
Portraits should be stress free if you follow our easy instructions.

Sitting dates are June 9 and 10th, July 22nd and 23rd and August 19th.  Please schedule appointments as soon as possible.

We are encouraging students to take advantage of the early sittings. All June appointments will receive a FREE page of wallets! Another advantage to the Spring sitting is the temperate spring weather.  We all know how hot and humid August weather can be (last year!)—which sometimes translates into a bad hair day! Spring sittings will also benefit from early proofing!

PORTRAIT DAY INSTRUCTIONS:

There will be a $50 sitting fee on picture day payable by cash, credit card or check to Gemshots.

All students report to the Senior Commons Room.
Formal pictures will be made first.
Portraits will be made on a standard painted background as well as solid black.
Boys are asked to wear a coat and tie. Facial hair is unacceptable.
We will supply the black drape for the girls. Girls are asked to bring a tube top or strapless dress to wear under the drape.

Casual pictures will be made next. These will be made outdoors around the campus. We allow (and recommend) outfit changes. This gives you a variety of choices. You may also bring your dog, siblings, car, musical instrument, family or whatever you would like as part of your photograph.

Other instructions:

• We want to make the best photographs possible. With the technology available, we can make some minor changes to images without much trouble. Basic facial retouching is included.
• However, things such as stray hairs, facial hair, and wrinkles in clothing are not so easily repaired and can be a bit costly.
• Most outdoor pictures will be from the waist up, but just in case, please make a wise choice of shoes.

Make your appointment quickly. Go to www.gemshots.com  and click on the “Book an Appointment” tab. Students photographed in June will  receive a bonus sheet of wallets when they place their order. Orders placed before July 15th will receive a second sheet of wallets at no charge. Yearbook deadlines are very strict. You must get this done in a timely manner in order to be in the yearbook.
